yes they can. oaksterdam isn’t as good as it sounds, so i’ve heard from friends who attended. however, it will give you a piece of paper that says you are more qualified than someone else upon completion of the classes. psychiatry school is going to be a lot of money, a lot of work, and a lot of time, incomparable to oaksterdam. so crunch down, work hard, and get this country back where it needs to be. enjoy yourself though, cali is beautiful. good luck.
It will vary depending on the state. Some may have laws that limit prescriptions to specific diseases, others may have different laws.
Before you can prescribe anything as a psychiatrist, you will have to have 8 years of college.
Anyway, if you really want to know and you’re talking about one state in specific but don’t want to mention it to avoid getting in trouble, you should call a psychiatrist’s office and ask.
