Did this woman get her vehicle seized?
In Florida there was a woman who got her vehicle seized cause the police found a small amount of marijuana in her vehicle during a traffic stop and within hours of her arrest her family and friends bailed her out of jail and they paid the impound/towing fees to get her vehicle out of the impound yard, the amount of marijuana they’ve found in her vehicle was a misdemeanor
BTW this situation didn’t happen to me, it was something I’ve read about online and I don’t even smoke pot

Police are empowered to impound vehicles. In many cases to protect the car! There may have been related issues such as license, registration or insurance issues. Pot is illegal. There are many things that can happen. When you break the law, you will be taken to task. Not all of them will ‘agree’ with you and your sensibilities.

More than likely, she got it seized because she was alone in the car and no one else who can legally drive it, and even then, they would probably still take it in cause even if it was a misdemeanor, they can still impound it if they want cause, as they see it, it’s still breaking the law.
so, your point is? She had pot, that is against the law. You break the law while in your car, your car gets seized.End of story
