the only things that i would disagree with is they seemed to be slightly disorganized after the entry was made. That and if there was knowledge that there are family members in the house, espically a child they should have been more careful about discharging their firearms. bullets go through walls, and you dont know whats on the other side. but its easy to say what they did right and wrong when you arnt there. things happen a lot quicker in real life, and they dont always go perfect.
The entry team goes into places they are told to go into, with the information that is given to them. They believed that they were going into a house with a dealer in it. They used force, but i didnt see any “REAL” excessive force used. Sure they have body armor on, but that wont protect you from a dog attack. and they sounded their presence and then took the door down and made entry, they arnt gonna wait for anyone inside to get a weapon or get rid of the evidence or attempt to flee.
the police should have had more information to go on, but it wasnt the entry teams fault for not having it. the investigation is done by the narcotics unit, which in turn has to have enough proof or probable cause to get a search warrent signed by a judge. then the entry team is given the warrent and asked to go into the house and make it safe and take the suspect(s) into custody then turn the place over to the narcotics unit again to finish the investigation. they were just doing their job.
