Are you in favor of prop 19 in California?

Would you vote YES or no to prop 19, to tax and legalize marijuana in California? Even if you don’t live there, how would you vote? I WILL be voting YES to legalize it in California in November 2010.
Hey M. Its actually billions of dollars in revenue.

Which side is most likely to break the law and use marijuana, liberals or Conservatives?

The answer would then point point out which side is the anti-American ideology.
That use consumes valuable law enforcement resources and taxes. That use supports the violent and murdering drug rings. That us is by anti-American people and is reflective of their political ideology.
Whiteflat: Let’s say your wire tap premise is true. Does federal wire tapping kill people in the streets or does it send billions of dollars to drug cartels. Does wire tapping kill 50 people a day just south of the boarder of Texas as drug lords have their drug wars? I will say your premise is flawed.

With democrats moving into office in 2008, do you think we’ll start getting some real marijuana law reform

I believe if its legal, it would be a much simpler and cheaper way of bringing down the black market for it, and we can stop wasting billions of dollars trying to cease it. And not to mention the massive amounts of money and jail space wasted on non-violent marijuana criminals. What do you think?

would pharmacies be the biggest drug dealer?

it’s illegal to use a natural herb(marijuana)for pain relief, but pharmacies take the poppy seed ,which is the same thing heroin is made of,and makes several levels of pain relievers.same for the coco plant.do you think ,in your opinion, that this is wrong ,and makes the government the biggest drug dealers ever?
why do you have to be”drug free” in order to learn?
your point isn’t valid.if the government can sell you a weaker form of heroin, because you need pain relief, why can’t you grow your own pain reliever?
my facts are perfectly fine my spelling or wording may be wrong ,but the point is valid.open your eyes and mind to the logic behind my statement
how many people are now hooked on and abusing and thieving for thier so called legitament prescribed drugs?in this way thier drug dealing is no better than any king pin sitting in prison for selling drugs
about 30-40 years ago are government was trying to stop the groth of the poppy plant, now we are the biggest importer”leagaly and illeagaly.???????????????????????????????
our government^
growth^^….P.S.it’s not because i smoke pot or anything as to why i can’t spell well or have poor grammar.i have always had this issue, and i have been sober for 20 months and stopped smoking herb recently too.only because of the laws and my desire to move forward in life.herb only held me back because of laws and how people view “pot heads”.but it is okay to use thier drugs because then they get paid?oh yeah and they can monitor who’s doing what when,so they try any way
and my opinion would be you work for some pharmasutical company and that’s why you would back such a double standard.it’s not leagal for us to grow our own(natural)pain killers, because the pharmacies would lose billions upon billions of dollars.they have no control over the black market and trust me there are millions hooked on these so called legal drugs and doing just as many bad things for them as they do for illeagal drugs.

Marijuana, legalize it or not?

I say legalize.

It was outlawed in the 1920s and 1930s because were there was complete hysteria and exaggerated propaganda about marijuana, for there was not much known about marijuana. [Reefer Madness]

The organization that enforced Prohibition was out of work, so their next target was marijuana. They could easily demonize something that the people had little experience with. Taking a look at historical records, during that same time frame, there was lot of racial tension and anti-immigration feelings in America. They put a Spanish name on it ‘Marijuana’ that could scare Americans and could keep their network established. It would flourish, for people had less experience with marijuana than they did than alcohol.
It was full time employment for officers, you can easily recognize someone who just got done smoking a joint in an alleyway rather than someone who had just did a line of coke in a restroom stall.
It can be understood why the populous is against marijuana, for ever since it was criminalized, the government has been putting billions of dollars into trashing the image of it. The people are afraid and misinformed, as the people in power have always been advocating against it, and there has not been allowed proper response from people willing to tell the truth.

Now, those who are against it, please explain your reasoning. I’m ready to hear it. Don’t just say ‘no.’ Tell me why.

I do understand how some people feel as they say they lost friends to marijuana. But it is something to be used in moderation, just like alcohol, the same rules apply. Be responsible, [just like you should be with alcohol] and there shouldn’t be any harm in it.

Are there any good reasons to vote Yes on California Prop 19 (legalize marijuana)?

Besides the fact that it will end expensive police and jail costs due to unneccesary marijuana arrests, provide billions of dollars in tax revenue to the state, and take marijuana profits away from dangerous gangs and Mexican drug cartels? And the fact that marijuana is non-addictive, safer than tobacco and alcohol, and it’s virtually impossible to overdose on weed?

I mean other than that, are there any good reasons to legalize it?

Vote YES on Prop 19 to Legalize Marijuana!

If you support Prop 19 please give this video THUMBS UP, share it, leave a comment and fave it! Please SUBSCRIBE for more! ______ People of California… I’m Dusty Trice and I want you to vote YES on Prop 19. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, Prop 19 is on the ballot in California and aims to control marijuana in much the same way we control alcohol. It gives state and local governments the ability to tax cannabis for adult consumption and will allow law enforcement officials to reprioritze their efforts, saving hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars in the process. In California the passage of Prop 19 will generate billions of dollars in annual revenue to put towards things like schools and parks and roads. I’m for Prop 19 because I’m tired of watching our government spend billions of dollars fighting a drug war we are losing because we’re going after the wrong targets. We need to get hard drugs off our streets and out of the hands of kids and I believe Prop 19 will do just that. Personally, I believe Prop 19 will also make it easier on patients who choose the safer supplemental treatments medical cannabis can provide. I lost a family member to cancer, and they used medical marijuana as a treatment in their final days. I was able to see the medical benefits, watch their appetite return, see it ease their pain. That’s why I also support responsible medical marijuana policy. If you live in California I urge you to Vote YES on Prop 19. If you live elsewhere, I

San Jose Police Chief (ret.) Joseph McNamara explains why he, and other law enforcement officers in California, will be voting Yes on 19. Full Text: Let’s be honest: The war against marijuana has failed. I know from 35 years in law enforcement. Today, it’s easier for a teenager to buy pot than beer. Proposition 19 will tax and control marijuana just like alcohol. It will generate billions of dollars for local communities, allow police to focus on violent crimes, and put drug cartels out of business. Join me and many others in law enforcement. California Marijuana Dreams May Go Up In Smoke.

California Marijuana Dreams May Go Up In Smoke.
One issue to be decided on November 2 will be proposition 19, the latest effort to legalize marijuana in California. This is another one of those “Be careful what you wish for” stories. Advocates claim that passage of such a measure would solve the state’s budget crisis, as it would bring in tens of billions of dollars of tax revenue while cutting the cost of our prison budget by billions more …
