My assignment is to use the Toulmin arguement model and create an arguement about medical marijuana. The resolved is that it should be legalized for medical purposes. My claim is that it can help ease patients effects of chemotherapy. My ground is that “It has been shown to be effective for many cancer chemo patients, safe dosage levels have been established and a dosage regimen which minimizes usdesirable side effects has been devised and tested. For example,

You need also a written testimonial for your assignment. It would be great if you could find a cancer group and have them write short testimonial’s. Your model qualifier is health. Where medicine leaves off and gives up alternative choices take off with leaps and bounds.
One additional piece of info is that I have also heard that marijuana enhances the appetite. This assists cancer patients during periods of chemotherapy when they have a tendency to lose their appetite and strength because they can’t keep their food down.
A possible model you might look into would be Geraldo Rivera. I understand that he has suffered from some ailment (not sure if it’s cancer) and has used medical marijuana to relieve the symptoms of his illness.
