The US continues its decline in education compared to the rest of the world annually, and if you spend enough time online you can see just how pathetically ignorant our children are. Many exhibit a very sad lack of skill with their own language.

Truth is, Mike, the man who posted this question is FAR from being ignorant. Knowing him personally, I can tell you that you have absolutely NO CLUE what you’re talking about. His erudition far exceeds the majority on this forum, and it wouldn’t surprise me if you were included in that percentile.

In answer to the question, I would guess it’s because of the nice thin paper they use. I really don’t know though, as I’ve never tried it.

Which books? I’ve found Genesis to be highly flammable, burning bush and all, but some of the New Testament books are harder to light up. Like Hebrews, for instance. There’s something flame-retardant about Hebrews. And the book of John. Maybe it’s all the baptisms and water and such.
