Heritage Research Folk Clothing
Reflecting heritage garment styles from France, WWII uniforms, farming work wear clothing the Heritage research folk clothing is a class of its own. Fabrics like linen, wool and cotton are used for the durability and richness offered by each timeless piece. The age old designs are configured to the modern silhouette to replicate a classic piece in the modern age. Most of the items of functional clothing have leather binding, durable Swiss RiRi zips and horn buttons for fastening the pockets. Each piece is practical yet distinctive in terms of the look and hand-feel of the fabric.
Forging a perfect balance between the contemporary style and classic clothing, Heritage Research clothing combines luxurious denim from Japanese denim enthusiast KURO. To create its Fixer Jeans inspired by work wear pants dating back to the 1940’s, the manufacturer uses 12 oz of right-hand twill selvedge denim from KURO, Japan. The selvedge seam is visible on the large scooped rear pockets and the entire jean has hemp stitching. The donut buttons and rivets are crafted out of oxidized nickel.
High quality of authentic vintage denim made especially in Neguro Japan forms the fabric base of this designer piece. Processed for a true vintage effect, the patina and hige is completely unique to each pair of jeans and cannot be replicated on another pair.
The jeans are handmade by Japanese artisans and the vintage finish is raw indigo denim or the hard wash. The slim cut further complements the classic style brining out its subtle beauty making it the epitome of vintage denim.
The Nudie Jeans is manufactured with high-quality organic cotton. The company is known for its environmentally friendly materials and the use of natural dyes to color the denim. Furthermore the denim fabric is woven in Japan on the 1960s looms to replicate a durable and strong fabric. This helps the fabric retain its rigidity and structure after construction. The brand was established by three leading British designers in 2001 and skyrocketed to popularity because of its wonderful design and fabric.
The manufacturer considers the fabric as a second skin of the owner. With time the Nudie Jeans takes on the characteristics of the person because it conforms to the personal shape and beautifully ages with time. Following the classic and functional style the jeans do not depict short-term fashion trends and makes for a typical and long-lasting clothing item. Using raw Japanese denim, the orange selvage is prominent in all of the Nudie Jeans.
