do republican “individual freedoms” extend anywhere beyond guns and paying less taxes?

do republican “individual freedoms” extend anywhere beyond guns and paying less taxes?

i can see how paying less taxes leads to more individual economic freedom. but does that really justify using the phrase to represent their party?

i mean, if we actually enforced conservative policies — no abortion, no gay marriage, no marijuana, internet censorship, etc — it would involve more government intrusion than liberal ones. yes, libs support gun control, but no liberal seriously advocates a total gun ban; meanwhile, conservatives generally try to eliminate most non-christian behavior they don’t approve of — even ones that take place in the privacy of our homes.

economic freedom is important, but the first amendment and freedom from imposed will is at least as important.

i understand their other buzzword: “personal responsibility.” that one makes sense. but can we just drop the we-support-personal-freedoms claim?
hey, i’m just quoting conservapedia.

i’ve always wondered why there aren’t more libertarians. it always seemed like a good idea to me.
