Very good point. Actually there are laws in how the Attorney General and the President can communicate. For instance, on 1/22/09, President Obama wrote 3 executive memos telling Holder what he HAD to do. 1. Shut down Gitmo, 2. Procecute those who tortured, 3 (?), anyway, once those memos were received by Holder, Holder can not ask P. Obama for advise or anything. AG Holder and the Justice Department carries the ball. Obama does not have a say now. The train has left the station.
Obama may have appointed Holder, but he should not control Holder. Holder should act independently of the president. His job is to uphold the law, not to do what Obama wants him to do. Holder can disagree with Obama. If he does everything obama wants him to do, then they are no different then Bush and Gonzales. The only difference would be their positions.

You my friend, are putting an unjustified spin on his statements. He clearly was reiterating Obama’s pledge to end the raids. Just because it hasn’t been made official due to the large amount of more pertinent issues, doesn’t mean it isn’t the administrations goal for new policy.
