If the United States legalized Marijuana, would they make it more expensive than it is illegal?
My friend is a pot head and he said something like the US government will tax the hell outta it and where Mid grade weed is like 10 dollars a gram, he said they would make it like 20 dollars a gram and plus 7% tax (Indiana)…. Would that be true? I don’t know shit about proposition 19

For DWI Lawers: Marijuana will and should be legalized to help stabilize America’s economy and hopefully pay a little of our nations debt. Marijuana is America’s number one cash crop, and whoever thinks it should be illegal is a communist wanting America not to even try to get out of debt.

It would definitely be much more expensive. Those who make and sell marijuana would need to buy permits (both to own and operate a business AND sell marijuana), and face other burdensome taxes and regulations. There are many different costs associated with government regulation.

Marijuana is an extremely addictive psycho active drug. It can cause hallucinations and psychoses. It causes genetic damages. Many of the so called DUI accidents are the result of dopes using dope. Legalizing dope would dramatically increase traffic deaths.
The price of weed isn’t about the plant. It’s about selling an illegal product. You have the growers, the leaser who let the growers grow on their land, the fall guy who will take the blame when busted, the boarder jumpers, the trimers, the launderers, the mucel, and the dealers, all are taking a part of the profit. It it were legal, you would have the growers and the distibuters. That’s it. So even if they did put a 10 percent tax on it, the cost of business would go down significantly, thus the price of weed would also go down sinificantly.
Selling illegal product is always costly, I do not understand why Marijuana is being legalized.
