My niece just had a baby and they had to use focepts to help deliver the baby. The baby’s head was eggshaped when he used the forceps to pull the baby out and he is blaming the shape of the head on my niece’s history of smoking marijuana. I can not believe that this is true. The baby’s head is shaped due to the forceps. It is not from the marijuana use although bad spelling maybe.
All vaginal deliveries cause a temporary disfiguring of the baby’s head. Remember a baby’s skull is still soft and will take shape of the birth canal. Forceps or even suction tools will alter the shape of the head! After a few day’s the head will return to a normal shape.

nah, plus at the hospital if there was any traces of marijuana they would have called social services in (although you said she had a history of smoking, not that she smoked through the pregnancy). I work in the maternity ward in the nursery and if even a small trace of marijuana is found then we call in social services. the baby’s mis shapen head is completely natural and has nothing to do with this.
You will likely see delayed learning later on. Poor fine motor and gross motor coordination as well. It has also been found to cause ADHD in children.
