Why are Republicans and the Pharmacy Industry afraid of using Marijuana for Medical reasons?
Please don’t go into rants about “How Dangerous” or “It’s stronger Today” When I can pick up any newspaper and find mention of how Alcohol has screwed up someone’s life. Or Killed somebodies Family Member.
And Alcohol is the REAL Gateway Drug! Everybody (almost that is) got their First Drink from one of Dad’s Beer’s or Mom’s Martini’s. “And that was when they were little and didn’t know any better”.
Not 1 Person (outside of alergic reaction) has Ever Overdosed (unlike Alcohol which has the claim of killing more people then some countries have with war.) from Marijuana.
So if Responcible People can use (Pills from Drug Companies, Tobacco, Alcohol) things that will kill us if we take too much aka miss use them,
Why the Big Stink over Marijuana?

I am a Republican and I think Marijuana should be legal for use. Not only for medical reasons. I think it is safer than alcohol.
I agree marijuana should be legalized,(the only reason it isn’t is because the government wouldn’t get its cut if it was).But don’t just blame republicans, democrats are just as much for baning the use of marijuana, both are in the pockets of the people who profit off of it being illegal.

I find it funny how you narrow it down to just Republicans. I agree with you in the terms that marijuana’s legality should be reconsidered, but your politically biased tone is somewhat undesirable. There are many democrats who are against even considering marijuana for viable medical purposes. I for one think marijuana is much less harmful than alcohol and perhaps should be legalized and regulated like alcoholic beverages are done today. Take out the partisan tone and I think we could be on to something 😀

Imback – So judging by your logic, alcohol should be banned altogether as well? Of course there should be strict guidelines and regulations on marijuana as there is on alcohol. Would you fire an employee because he or she partakes in the drink on the weekends on their free time?

I have to say that even if dope was legal, I would still fire any employee doing it. It makes people lethargic and unproductive. There are as many car wrecks, they are classified as DUI (driving under the influence). I have witnessed lives get wasted because of dope (and alcohol), but the dopers still denied the dope had anything to do with it.
So, to answer your question, businesses are afraid of legalized dope because stoned employees are worthless employees.
i kno its not legal because they cant put a tax on cause you can grow it but why cant the just take the seeds out.i dont even smoke pot but i think it should be legal its dumb.it helps anything with your stomach ,cancer,glaucoma,migraines all kinds of stuff.whats they worst that could happen your gonna eat too much.its so much less harmful than cigarettes and drinking and i do both of those i dont understand it either
probably also alot of people would be taking less medicine
a drunk is less productive probably violent and stinks
