dude stop with this attempt to convince us and yourself that you need weed for medical purposes. the truth is that weed is the WORST medicine for a psychiatric condition because it is an unregulated plant and plants wont do anything for you. it is barely a drug if that.
just get the marijuana card and smoke it and have fun. theres nothing wrong with smoking pot because you like it.

by the way anthony oliver has given some of the worst answers to any question on here. just look at his activity. of course he has done “lots of research” on trying to get a marijuana card. he is addicted to the stuff. he actually suggested that a suicidal person should get off their anti depressants and try a certain herb. that is how insane he is.
Don’t listen to Patrick M, he has no idea what he’s talking about. getting a medical card is really easy in CA. having a history of mental illness in your family alone won’t qualify you to get the card. you can just tell the doctor that you have bad insomnia or backpain, or both. you can apply to get a medical marijuana card if you are 18, and your family doesnt have to know.

As easy as typing the State name + ‘medicinal marijuana’ in to a search engine. Look for the .gov web site. http://www.cdph.ca.gov/programs/mmp/Pages/Medical%20Marijuana%20Program.aspx
Now do the same search for the County name! http://www.safeaccessnow.net/countyguidelines.htm
BECAUSE California does not require a card. State requires Dr.’s notes.
