I am not aware of any temporary card. I don’t know where you live but in my experience with people who applied for a card the process took about 4 to 6 weeks.
It all depends on which state you are in.
In my state, all I need is my doctors written recommendation.
I had my appointment at 10. I left at 11. I was at the club at 12. I was home and medicated at 2.
I have never heard of a temporary card. At least in my state.
